my story

Hi, I’m Aida Uzunovic.

I’m a certified Personal & Business Coach, NLP Coach, and CBT Therapist.

My credentials include:

  • Accredited by the American Psychological Association
  • Certified by the American Board of NLP
  • Licensed by KHDA Dubai
  • Member of the German Coaching Association

But before all these, I was someone searching for meaning.

Aida Uzunovic

For as long as I can remember, I carried a quiet restlessness — a drive I couldn’t name, but couldn’t silence either.
After earning my degree in Economics, I spent over 14 years climbing the corporate ladder in global organizations. I worked across finance, legal, sourcing, and analytics, leading diverse teams and managing multimillion-dollar portfolios — learning firsthand about resilience, leadership, performance, teamwork, and the ever-elusive work-life balance.

On paper, I had it all. But inside, something didn’t sit right.
Have you ever looked around and thought, “Why doesn’t this feel as good as it should?” That was me.
No matter how much I achieved, something always felt… off.
Something was missing.

I couldn’t name it. I just knew: This isn’t it.
I’d sit in meetings, hit targets, get recognition — and still feel… empty.
There was always this voice whispering:
“This can’t be all there is.”

What made it harder was that everyone around me seemed fine — living for the weekends, planning the next vacation, settling.
But I couldn’t. I wanted more.
More meaning. More purpose. More life.

Eventually, I hit a wall.
I remember sitting in my corner office, staring out the window, thinking:
“If I don’t change something now, I’ll wake up ten years from now feeling even more lost — and full of regret.”

So I did the “unthinkable.” I walked away from the safety of a stable job, a clear title, and a secure retirement plan.
I didn’t have a roadmap — just a gut feeling that something had to change.

The journey that followed wasn’t glamorous.
There were fears. Doubts. Uncertainty.
But I also discovered something else — curiosity, depth, and a different kind of success.

I studied psychology, philosophy, coaching, and therapy.
I threw myself into books, took courses, trainings, and workshops.
Talked to anyone who would listen.

I also started volunteering — as a social worker and life advisor for nonprofit organizations supporting people through life’s messiest, most vulnerable moments.
Through this work, I discovered the beauty and impact of coaching. It quickly became an endless source of inspiration — one I couldn’t ignore.

That’s when it clicked. In helping others navigate their chaos, I started to make sense of my own.

It felt real. Grounded. Alive.
That clarity led to the birth of my coaching practice — and eventually, BECOME SELF-DRIVEN — a program for people just like I once was: doing “just fine,” but knowing deep down that fine isn’t enough.
People who are functioning, but not fulfilled.
People who can’t quite explain the tension inside — but know it’s real.

You see, I believe we all come into this world with our own cross to bear —
a unique gift, or a curse, depending on how you choose to see it.
And that one struggle? It keeps showing up, no matter how far we try to run from it.

You know how people often say, “This always happens to me,” as they struggle with lessons they can’t seem to learn?
But once you stop running — once you confront it, understand it, and come to terms with it — everything changes.
And what once weighed you down can actually become your greatest strength.
That’s when your story begins to shift.

And I know how hard it is to take that first step.
But I also know how great life becomes once you do.

Today, I integrate corporate insight, clinical tools, and transformational coaching techniques to help clients gain clarity, confidence, and a deep sense of purpose.
My clients often say they feel seen, empowered, and finally able to take aligned action after working together.

At my core, I’m a positive, down-to-earth, and empathetic person. I value honesty, creativity, and dedication above all else.

Everyone has a story.
I’d love to hear yours.
